Times are changing...

Our lives have changed so much in the past couple months.... Brentton was promoted to GM, we moved to Somerset, bought a new car and made new friends.I'm so incredibly proud of Brentton for working so hard and being given the opportunity to give us a better life. He amazes me daily with his work ethic and intelligence. He is the best father to our little princess and he loves me unconditionally. I truly don't deserve him. I am so thankful God has been so great to us...

In Kaleigh news.... She is 22 months old now and a complete chatter box! She sings ALL THE TIME, and knows the words to at least 6 songs. She is beginning to sing her ABC's, she can count to eleven, JUMP off the ground, will amaze you at the stuff she can name in her books, her favorite TV/movie characters; Dora, Ariel and Nemo. Her favorite color this month is blue. She loves to brush her teeth and take baths, play ball with daddy, read books, watch basketball games, eat gogurts and fruit roll ups, still a mommy's girl :) She has a diva attitude and many facial expressions!! Only weighs 23 lbs, bless her little heart <3 Every day she makes us laugh and I wouldn't have her any other way!

Your Mine!

Hey Guys!! We had a wonderful weekend with our family in Georgetown to celebrate our cousin Adam graduating Dental School. We are all  so very proud of him =) It was like a family reunion for the Akers family. Granted I didn't know everyone but I was very happy they all got to spend the day together. Kaleigh got to play with her cousin Ian and a new little friend Kendall (who is her age). They were all so cute together!!

Ok..getting to the reason for the Blog Title....Kaleigh thinks EVERYTHING in the world is "mine". It's starting to get a little annoying! Today she grabbed my hand and said, "my hand mommy!", I mean really ?? HAHA  She also thinks that I am her property. She says, " my mommy!". She hates it when Brentton tries to hug me and hold my hand, she is very protective of me (not that I mind it).

Along with the "mine" stage she is continually referring to herself in third person. She says, "Kaleigh is cold" or "Kaleigh's bracelet". I had mentioned to her daycare teacher that we were trying to get her to say her full name and she said,"Oh, she has NO trouble with that, she thinks everything is KALEIGH'S!" I couldn't help but laugh! HAHA I am hoping she will grow out of this phase. I'm trying my best to assure her that NOT everything is hers and she needs to share. We will see how it goes :)

I couldn't leave you without some new pics!!!

Enjoy..
