Pack it Up!

Hey Everyone! So..as much as I don't want this to happen, we are MOVING AGAIN. Thankfully not to another city but just across town. It's a long story but in a nut shell we had an ant/insect problem that the landlord, for some reason, didn't want to take time out of there day to fix. It has been going on for three months now and we were fed up! I personally asked them to spray on 5 different occasions and they have yet to fix the issue. I asked them to terminate our lease and of course they did(because they knew they were wrong!)...THANK GOD! I don't want to pack up our stuff and go to another house but I am over living with bugs..ewww. If I wanted to live with ants I would pitch a tent in the back yard!! ;) Anyways, we are really stressed an exhausted! Trying to work full time, run after a toddler and PACK everything in your house seems nearly impossible. At least I have practice :) We need your prayers!

I'll update as soon as we get settled in our new place....

She keeps me going...

Party Weekend..

Hey Everyone! We all celebrated this weekend in honor of Kaleigh turning two...She had a BLAST swimming and got tons of great presents. We are so thankful for those who came and showered her with love. We had a very un-expected surprise from South Carolina from Mandy and Ian, everyone was so
happy to see them!! Ian and Kaleigh were ADORABLE together..

Kaleigh's Presents Included; Little Mermaid three wheeler, Dora Dollhouse, Minnie Mouse suitcase, Beach towel, Princess plate/cup, Toy Box, A new baby with a stroller, tons of outfits, coloring books, books, Disney Princess Dolls, Dora backpack/map set, leap frog picnic basket, Picnic Table, sunglasses, purses and more! She was in Dora and Princess heaven...

I loved watching her face light up every time she opened a new gift. It was definitely Christmas in July!! haha sorry I couldn't resist. Sunday we spent the day alone as a family..We took Kaleigh to play at Monkey Joe's and to the Disney Store...She was completely exhausted and passed out in her stroller. We had planned on taking her to see Winnie the Pooh but figured it would be best to get back to Somerset. The best gift we received this weekend was Kaleigh saying, "I'm so happy daddy"! She is an angel, well most of the time ;)

Have a good Week!

Happy 2nd Birthday Princess!!

July 16th 2009...The day I met the love of my life.

It all started on July 15th 2009. I was due to be induced  later that night. Kaleigh however, had different plans. Around 1:00pm Brentton decided to go out and clean the car while I lay in bed and attempted to rest. Keep in mind at this time I was 41 WEEKS PREGNANT! Need I say more... I got up to use the bathroom and my water started leaking!! I immediately called Brentton and he rushed home. I was scared, nervous and most of all, I just wanted to take a bath..hahaha We called the Dr and he told us to go straight to the hospital! As we waited in triage, a woman beside us was holding the smallest baby I had ever seen. Just chillin' in the the triage holding area? Strange..anyways little did I know MY baby would be double the size of that tiny little girl. I will spare you the nasty details of the labor process and put it this way; The Dr. was very inexperienced and hadn't done an ultrasound since I was around 22 weeks pregnant. We had NO CLUE how big our baby was going to be. They did come in to my room that night, felt of my stomach and said, "Oh, this baby is probably of average size, no need to worry!" Well, I don't mean to be hateful but I'm pretty sure the doctors working with me that day skipped a few classes in med school. hahaha, this is true! 24 hours passed and still NO KALEIGH...I was begging for a C-section and was mentally and physically exhausted. At that point, I came down with a fever and they quickly realized I had an infection from my water being broken more that 24 hours. I was scared for myself and my baby. Her heart beat was dropping and I was so panicked that I couldn't even focus long enough to breath. I don't know what I would have done if DiAnne wasn't in there with me. She was the only one who kept me focused. 28 hours later Kaleigh came into the world. I didn't hear her cry and I didn't get to hold her. She was quickly taken away and a crowd of doctors and nurses surrounded her. I closed my eyes and prayed........

Please God, don't take my baby away from me.

Kaleigh had a rough delivery as did I. She was in the birth canal a long time, the cord was wrapped around her neck twice and she was having trouble breathing.

She cried. I cried. I'm pretty sure we all were crying...

At 5:32pm we welcomed a Beautiful Baby Girl
She weighed 9lbs 1.4oz & 21" long
