Kaleigh Bug!

Hey Everyone! Kaleigh got to meet her great grandparents today. She was so in love with them! They came to visit her for a little while and I was beyond grateful. It is a blessing to have them in her life. It's rare to get the opportunity to meet your great grandparents and I'm so happy that she has that. Little Kaleigh just looked in her great papaws eyes when he talked to her, it was so sweet. I couldn't let the day pass without posting a picture of my little princess :) Love You All !!!

Hey Everyone! Ok.. so I knew that it would be hard work, but little Miss Kaleigh is a full time job and might I add the best job I have EVER had. I never knew how much I would love being a mom until now. Every single minute I get to spend with her is magical. Yes, even diapers changes. We went to the doctor yesterday. Kaleigh is perfect, as if I didn't already know that..duh! lol She passed all the little tests and weighed in at 9lbs 3oz. I swear she gets more and more beautiful every single day. We are so in love with her its unreal. The doctor also said that I am healing better than they expected and I just need to take it easy for a couple more weeks. Hey everyone! I'm finally starting to feel better and move around :) Brentton had to go back to work today for 12 hours!!! So today was my first day alone with Miss Kaleigh and OMG being a mom is a lot more work than I ever thought. Everything has to be planned out. From going downstairs, to taking a shower, it all has to be timed out..lol I love it though! The love I have for her is unbelievable and I'm so happy to have her in my life. I have been pretty busy taking care of the little one today but I thought I would share a little photo to make you smile.

Kaleigh Madison Akers has arrived!!!

Our little princess has arrived!!! After a rough delivery Kaleigh Madison was born on July 16, 2009 at 5:32 pm. She weighed 9lbs 1.4oz and was 21" long!! Although it took everything out of me to get her into this world it was the best day of my life. She had a rough start, but thank God she is completely happy & healthy :) We are so very blessed to has such a miracle in our lives. Brentton and I are on cloud 9! Love you all!! I promise to post pictures as often as I can.

Here's the plan...

I went back to the doctor today. Unfortunately there was no change from last week. They are planning to induce me FOR SURE Wednesday night. I'm very nervous/excited I'm horrified about the possibility of a C-section :( It's been almost 41 weeks now and I can not wait to finally meet our angel. Please pray for us!

I'm going crazy!

So I am STILL pregnant! My due date has passed and our little girl has decided that she is happy where she is. I honestly feel like she will never come out. I was supposed to be induced yesterday, but we were informed that the insurance will not pay for an induction until its medically necessary (41 weeks) which is another week I have to wait to see her :( I was not to happy about this, but God has his own plan and she wasn't supposed to be here just yet. I have a Dr. Appointment on Monday!! I'll update everyone as soon as I can. It has been really hard this past week. My body is defiantly over this pregnancy. I just want everyone to pray for me. I really need strength right now, I am having a hard time keeping it together..lol

Appointment Update!

Good News, we have progress!! Sorry my post is a little late in the evening I took a nap and my lazy butt didn't wake up until recently....lol I have dilated around 2 cm, my cervix has thinned and moved forward (which is great, not quite there but it has MOVED) the babies head is in place and at station -1. She is getting ready!! We decided that we would try a method of induction today in order to speed up the process a little. The Dr. stripped my membranes (not going to go into detail, but it apparently releases a hormone which speeds up contractions) VERY PAINFUL! I am so glad Brentton was the to hold my hand because I don't know what I would have done without him. The Dr. was hoping that this will but me in labor tonight or tomorrow :) If not, I am still going to be induced with pitocin on Thursday, not sure the time yet, but I will let everyone know if that's the case. Thanks to all of you who have been praying for me. I know that God will help me get through this. I love you all and will hopefully be seeing you very soon!

I'm so Proud...

Ok... so I am going to toot my own horn for a minute..lol I am extremely proud of myself! I cleaned my entire house today :) I am still in shock that I got it all pretty much done (well to the best of my pregnant abilities). Loading and unloading the washer was very entertaining! I actually laughed out loud at my huge self trying to do this once simple task. I honestly thought that I was going to have to live with all this mess and come home from the hospital with our little baby to a messy place, but NOT ANYMORE! I truly feel like superwoman!

* I have a Dr. appointment in the morning I will update as soon as I hear what he has to say. Pray for GOOD news :) Love you all

It's time for fireworks!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy 4th! I wish we could all be together to celebrate the holiday. Wouldn't it be awesome if Kaleigh was born tomorrow? I'M THINKING.... YES!! lol I want her here NOW! Thursday seems like an eternity. I hope everyone has a great weekend! See ya soon ;)
